Tristone Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
Tristone Cabernet Sauvignon 2023 is a refined and structured South African red wine from Stellenbosch, crafted to showcase depth, elegance and exceptional balance. Matured in French oak barrels, this Cabernet Sauvignon combines rich dark fruit, subtle cedar notes and fine tannins with impressive ageing potential.
Product Story
The grapes were hand harvested during the cool morning hours to preserve freshness and fruit purity. Whole berries were fermented for 7 to 10 days with up to three pump-overs daily to gently extract colour, flavour and tannin.
Following fermentation, the wine spent several additional weeks on the skins to build complexity and structure before being drained, pressed and transferred to French oak barrels.
The wine matured for up to 18 months in French oak, including 30% new oak barrels, adding subtle spice, cedar and depth while maintaining balance and elegance.
Tasting Notes
Tristone Cabernet Sauvignon reveals expressive aromas of cassis, blue fruit and cedar layered with subtle graphite and pencil lead notes.
The palate is structured and elegant with fine tannins, concentrated dark fruit and a long, lingering finish that highlights the wine’s balance and refinement.
