Hamilton Russell Vineyards Pinot Noir 2025

Hamilton Russell Vineyards Pinot Noir 2025 is one of South Africa’s benchmark Pinot Noirs, crafted in the cool-climate Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Known for its elegance, savoury complexity and distinctive terroir expression, this wine combines refined structure with layered fruit and exceptional balance.

Product Story

Produced exclusively from estate-grown vineyards, this Pinot Noir reflects Hamilton Russell Vineyards’ philosophy of expressing terroir through low yields, meticulous vineyard management and restrained winemaking.

The vineyards are planted in low-vigour, stony, clay-rich and iron-rich shale-derived soils that naturally produce concentrated fruit with depth and structure. The wine matured for 10 months in 228-litre French oak barrels crafted by François Frères, using a carefully balanced mix of first, second, third and fourth fill barrels.

The outstanding 2025 vintage delivered healthy canopies, ideal ripening conditions and remarkable fruit purity, resulting in a Pinot Noir of both elegance and intensity.
